PRODUCTION:

A process performed by physical or legal persons that consists of the organization of a series of works and activities with the objective of developing a coherent audiovisual product.

Any audiovisual product takes shape as a result of teamwork, and a production team will be made up of all players in the different tasks:

• Management Team: directs the technical and artistic team


• Production Team: determines the necessary media and people to develop an audiovisual product


• Direction Team: responsible for the staging of an audiovisual product


• Editorial Team: its function is to develop contents


• Documentation Team: acquire, classify, organize and store content


• Task Forces: lighting, camera operators, sound, editing, postproduction, staff set


• Other equipment

To create an audiovisual product you first need to know what the results are which we want to achieve. Secondly, for whom, where, when and how they are going to be produced and what resources are needed.

The production process consists of three phases:

• Preproduction


• Shooting


• Editing, mounting and postproduction

EDITION AND MOUNTING

These are the set of processes that we apply to the video signal after recording. They are used to create an audiovisual product by manipulating images and sounds with the intention of making an impression on the viewer. To do this we first need to divide the video recording in to fragments and order them.

This is the process which joins together the images and the video.

Depending on whether or not we are working with original material we have:

• Online editing: we work directly on the original material (as in live programs)


• Offline editing: we work on a copy of the original (as in films, for example)

Depending on whether or not we digitize the signal, we use:

• Linear Editing: This is the method used for analogue. We must mount the frames in order, from start to end. Thus, if any change is made, the whole film is changed. This type of editing is virtually obsolete.


• Nonlinear Editing: This is the method used for a digital signal. There are many advantages to nonlinear editing:
  
  • You can mount the frames in the order you want;
  
  
  • You don’t have to modify subsequent frames;
  
  
  • You can make changes at any point without affecting the rest of the material.

POSTPRODUCTION

A set of processes that are applied to the video signal or film after recording in order to create a finished product for broadcasting or marketing. This process is carried out by laboratory technicians and the production manager

The main activity in this process is publishing, which includes several tasks:

• Editing of video material, which can be horizontal or vertical.


• Editing and mounting of audio material: the composition and recording of the soundtracks, incorporating sound effects and sound processing, design and sound mixing, ARD and dubbing.

Our editing room is equipped with Final Cut. For graphic art editing, After Effects, Photoshop or Combustion are available.

Clients may choose to rent the studio with or without an operator.

COPY AND MASTERS

DVD STUDIO PRO

We use Apple Software for development of DVDs. It is easy to use, with an intuitive interface to create DVDs from the most simple to the most professional. It permits DVDs to be recorded in a variety of formats.

AUTORÍA DVD

Software that exploits the multimedia functions of DVD creation, such as allowing the viewer to interact with the product and offering additional options through multiple menus, subtitles, extra content, games, etc.

This program prepares the files so they can be recognized by a DVD player

PORTFOLIO

• For the program "El Sexómetro" a two part series on the sexual preferences of the Spanish population produced by Four Luck Banana, issued on 4th December 2007. Globodigital created a 20 second program header, which combined various elements of 2D images with 3D pieces.
